Description
A four-page set on the Hans Christian Andersen story. It begins with word meanings taken from the lesson, covering outfit, parade, crooks, blushing and whisper, then asks for opposites such as wise and foolish, honest and dishonest, and fast and slow.
A rhyming round asks the child to find words from the text that rhyme with cloud, sled, glad, milk and blink, and the last section has them build their own sentences using words like emperor, so the vocabulary is used rather than just defined.
Every page carries its own answer key, so a parent can correct the whole sheet in a few minutes.
