About us
Growing Minds Academy started as a tuition room in Kolkata. The worksheets came later, out of a problem every parent here knows well.
Parents kept asking the same thing at the end of tuition: what can my child practise at home? The honest answer was that the guide books on the market are thick, expensive, and mostly repeat the textbook back at you. What a child actually needs before a test is a paper to sit and attempt, and someone to check it.
So Runa began setting a practice paper for each chapter she taught, and photocopying it for the class. Parents started asking for chapters she was not even teaching that term. That is when it became clear this should exist properly, as something any family could download rather than something you had to be enrolled to get.
A worksheet is only useful if the parent can correct it. That is why the answer key never got left out.
Every sheet starts from the chapter as it is actually taught, not from a syllabus index. The first page is objective recall, because a child who gets ten MCQs right sits down for the rest with some confidence. The middle pages tighten into fill-ups, true or false and matching. The last two pages ask for reasoning and full written answers, with model answers given, because writing the answer is the part most children lose marks on.
Nothing here is generated in bulk or lifted from a website. Each set is written, taught with, corrected, and revised the following year based on where children actually went wrong.
Mostly parents, working through one chapter at a time before a class test. A growing number are home tutors who buy several chapters at a time and use them across a batch. A few are schools looking for revision material. If you are in the third group, contact us directly rather than buying sheet by sheet.
What we hold to
Some publishers sell the answers separately. We think that is a trick played on parents. Every worksheet states plainly whether the key is inside, and most carry it.
No bulk generation, no scraping. If a chapter has not been taught in a real classroom, it does not go up as a worksheet.
A single chapter costs less than a photocopy shop would charge. Buy the one chapter your child needs this week.
How we got here
Runa starts taking a small batch at home in Kolkata after school hours.
Chapter-wise question sets are written for the batch and photocopied every week. Parents of children in other schools start asking for copies.
The batch has grown past what one room holds. Worksheets go out over WhatsApp for the first time.
