Description
A six-page set on the story of Androcles and the Lion. It opens with word meanings taken from the lesson, including paw, leaned, morsel and arena, then works through the story itself: why Androcles was sad at the start, the thorn he found stuck in the lion paw, and how the lion ran to him and licked his face when the two met again in the arena.
The sheet moves from multiple choice into fill in the blanks drawn from the text, so the child returns to the actual lines rather than summarising.
Every page carries its own answer key, so a parent can correct the whole sheet in a few minutes.
