Description
A ten-page set on the three forms of the verb to be. The child fills in am, is or are across dozens of sentences, learning by use that I takes am, he, she and it take is, and we, you and they take are.
The sentences are drawn from a child everyday world, about being in second grade, a brown and white dog, flowers in the garden, books on a tall shelf and parents watching a movie, so the rule is practised rather than recited.
This version carries the questions only, with no answer key printed, so it can be handed out as a test or timed practice.
