Description
A seven-page set on what a computer actually is: an electronic device that works according to the instructions we give it. The core of the sheet is the IPO cycle, standing for Input, Process and Output, and the child has to label devices as input, output or process.
Questions cover which devices take data in, which give results out, what the result after processing is called, and ask for two examples of each kind. The written answers are short and definition-style, which is how this chapter is tested.
Every page carries its own answer key, so a parent can correct the whole sheet in a few minutes.
